Frequently asked questions about the Security Module
Are apps built with Lovable secure?
They can be, but nothing makes them secure by default. In 2025, 170 of 1,645 Lovable projects analyzed had inadequate access rules. AI quickly produces code that works; it's up to you to check who can read what, where the secret keys are and what the automated checks report. The module teaches you those checks.
Do you need to know how to code to take the Security Module?
No. The module is designed for non-developers. You learn to run Lovable's and Supabase's checks, read their alerts, spot an exposed key and ask for a precise fix. Every lesson has a step-by-step guide that tells you where to click and what to check, on your own app.
Are access rules (RLS) covered?
Partly. The module teaches you to spot a missing or overly broad access rule using the risk map and the security scan. Writing access rules and proving them with tests, account by account, is taught in module 4 of the Production Program, which is not included in the Security Module.
Does the module cover Swiss FADP and GDPR?
Yes, the essentials for a small app: identifying your main obligations, writing and publishing your privacy policy, keeping a simple processing record, and applying data minimization and retention periods. The module does not replace legal advice for high-risk processing or sensitive data.
Does the Security Module lead to the certificate?
No. The certificate of completion is issued only in the Production Program, based on the final project, the milestones and the quizzes. It is not a state-recognized qualification. The Security Module gives you the lessons, their guides and the AI assistant, with no quizzes or assessed milestones.
Is the Module price deducted if you move up to the Program?
No. Only the Starter Kit price is deducted from the Production Program, within 30 days. If you're torn between the two and still have an app to build, the Program already includes this entire module, along with the 14-day money-back guarantee.
Is the Security Module refundable?
